Sandy Shapiro
LCSW-CUsing an integrative, solution-focused approach tailored to the individual needs of each of my clients, I view therapy as a collaborative process that is built on a safe, trusting relationship.
The work we will do together will draw on a mixture of principles stemming from Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I believe that an effective therapeutic process involves highlighting a client’s inherent strengths and interests while examining the challenges that they face.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Princeton University and a Masters in Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America.
