Lisa Resnick

Lisa Resnick is a licensed clinical social worker/therapist who has been working in the mental health field since 1997. She has been with Willow Oak Therapy Center for almost 3 years. Lisa provides individual and family therapy using a collaborative approach that is tailored to each individual. Modalities used include mindfulness, CBT, strengths based, client centered and psychodynamic. Lisa has a special interest in treating anxiety, mood disorders, body image issues, relationship struggles and PTSD. She has received training and studied trauma focused therapy.
The population she serves includes primarily adults ranging from ages 18-85 dealing with various life transitions. Lisa has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Ithaca College and earned her Masters in Social Work from The Catholic University of America. Lisa’s clients have reported that her easy going nature helps to form a therapeutic alliance and allows a safe and welcoming space to grow and change.
